Senate Ensures that Presidency Does not go through Selective Implementation of 2017 Budget

In a report of the red chambers' joint committee on appropriations and finance laid on the floor of the upper chamber today, the Nigerian Senate has resolved to ensure that the executive arm of government does not embark on selective implementation of the 2017 budget.
The Senate noted that the review in the budget year should not affect 60% of the 2017 budget. Senate blocks presidency from selective implementation of 2017 budget The Senate tasked the Federal Executive Council to begin the process of the 2018 budget.
Effects of population growth in Nigeria The Senate further tasked the Federal Executive Council to ensure that the 2018 budget is passed in good time to allow for full implementation.
